Monksmoor Park receives highly commended at national awards

Monksmoor Park has been highly commended in the ‘Best Housing Scheme (500 homes or more)’ category at the annual Planning Awards.

The awards, which recognise excellence in UK housebuilding, planning and placemaking took place in London on Wednesday 6 June.

Monksmoor Park was commended in these awards for its positive impact on its surrounding environment, with the development being built with 21st Century Garden Village principles in mind: providing not only housing but also a modern, vibrant community.

As part of the Monksmoor Park development, Crest Nicholson is investing £11.2m in the local area in order to provide a number of assets to benefit Daventry and its surrounding areas, including a new primary school set to open this September, and new health facilities.

Monksmoor Park came second only to Crest Nicholson’s Tadpole Garden Village in Swindon.

Andrew Dobson, Managing Director at Crest Nicholson Strategic Projects, said: “We’re extremely proud to be recognised at these industry-leading awards. These accolades are a testament to the high-quality homes on offer at both Monksmoor Park and Tadpole Garden Village, and Crest Nicholson’s commitment to building communities that will be enjoyed both now and for generations to come.”
